In praise of good stuff

An article that appeared in the New York Times this weekend, Choose To Be Grateful. It Will Make You Happier written by @arthurbrooks is currently trending. It’s one of the Times’s most emailed stories, it’s all over my Facebook feed, and it keeps pinging through my head just as its musical companion piece, Happy by Pharrell Willams, did a few summers ago, too.

As we enter the holiday season it seems especially important to remember that even during difficult times, there are things (big, small, animal, vegetable and mineral) to appreciate and savor. And by acknowledging them to ourselves and even to the people that make our lives better, we reap the benefit of being made happier still.
